When I first started doing animal communication sessions I had no investment in the outcome. I had had some communication experiences on my own and then decided to take a workshop with Amelia Kinkade (who I love!) I went in with an open mind and a playful attitude. My accuracy was off the charts during the workshop. I looked at Gretchen the chicken and knew she had epilepsy. I communicated with a dog who told me he had two cats at home, one living and one who had passed. Lucy the dog told me how much she loves swimming in her swimming pool. I was shouting out the messages I was getting and the human companions were saying "Yes!!" "That's right!!" At the end of the workshop Amelia held up a paper bag and said "Now use your abilities to see what is in this bag." I concentrated and tuned into the bag and wrote in my notebook "Yellow. Solid object. Tiger stuffed animal." It was a small yellow tiger stuffed animal.
Throughout the workshop Amelia and the participants praised my work "You give me hope. Good luck with your gift. You did amazing. You have a real gift. You are a medical intuitive, you should follow that!" These are exact quotes directly from my notebook. Any time anyone gave me feedback I wrote it down in an attempt to counteract my tendency toward self deprecation. Even Amelia pulled me aside after the first session and gave me a hug and said "You are going to be great."
As soon as I became invested in the outcomes of my readings my accuracy went down. I wanted to be 110% right about every single detail all of the time. I was putting so much pressure on myself...which makes it impossible to do psychic work. I had to get my ego out of the driver's seat. One way I address this is to offer session refunds. If a client is not satisfied with their reading for any reason I will refund most, if not all, of what they paid out.
Aside from being in the proper state of consciousness to do a reading, I also have to interpret the impressions properly. The telepathic communication process is all energy. I have to translate the energy I am receiving into information. Usually during a reading I will see images, hear words or phrases and feel things physically and emotionally. My job is to take these impressions and accurately interpret them which at times can be tricky. For example, one time I was reading a horse and I asked him who his best friend was and I kept seeing the color black. I had no idea what that meant. When I gave that information to the horse's human friend I was told the horse's best friend was named Blackie.
I now focus on the sessions being helpful instead of worrying about every little detail being "right." My spiritual teacher helped me formulate my intention with regard to doing this work. My intention is to place my abilities in the service of others with the hope that some good will come from my work and others will find value in it. As my spiritual teacher pointed out, specifics aren't important. If I did a reading just citing an animal's favorite toy, favorite food, favorite place to sleep, etc. it may bring some me credibility, but having a reading just naming these details wouldn't be very helpful. What is more helpful is the information and guidance that comes through.
One of the most talented psychics I know, Joseph McMoneagle, says that the best someone can strive for is 80% accuracy. This sounds good to me. I think that can be applied to any psychic reading for you or for your furry friend. Enough of the details should be right so you know that the connection with the identified animal is established.

Greetings and Welcome!
The column on the left has information about booking a consultation. Below I’ve posted photos and excerpts from sessions. Sessions can be quite personal and therefore I keep the excerpts brief. I also write about important animal related issues.
